Your litograph by Kurz & Allison is taken from a previous painting by Louis Kurz that is now available at the Library of Congress, Washington. Kurz painted The Crucifixion in 1897. His work reflects the memories of the late Italian Renaissance painters.

Did Kurz & Allison ever produce a series of Greek mythological prints? I purchased about half a dozen lithographs from a Chicago antique dealer and the signatures on them seem to read L. Kurz.
However, the style is more simplistic than the works I see here. They are simple line drawings for the most part, but all very beautiful.

I have Lincoln and Family. I read the Gallery name and found it here. Can you give me any information on it? It has been somewhat damaged, it is still in the origional frame and was most likely water stained on the left side of picture and frame but it is still perfect picture of family…..a friend passed on and his wife gave it to me to have and I love the picture and decided to get the history on it. Sincerely thanking you,
Rhonda Siegers
