I m looking at your very comprehensive gallery site for Gari Melchers and am delighted that you have compiled the list. As curator of the Gari Melchers Home and Studio, I’d like to share some information regarding authentic images by Gari Melchers which I think you will appreciate having and which I think will assist you in providing the most accurate survey of Melchers’ body of work for your “American Gallery.” I would be so grateful if you would be willing to assist me in my work to protect the reputation of the artist by making the following corrections:
The following images, in my opinion, are doubtful attributions to Gari Melchers and I will not include them in the catalog raisonne that I am compiling of the artist. I have also informed many of the owners of my doubts. Please remove them from your gallery:
