I personally like the genre of history painting, because I find it very instructive.
Every single painting by Ferris, beyond show a good painting technique, represents an interesting chapter of American history. Before the invention of the camera, and film camera, happened in the second half of the nineteenth century, painting has had the great privilege to document visually, and for many centuries, historical events, and deeds of the great personalities of the past. In the case of Ferris, painter of the nineteenth century, makes a certain effect to see the flow of events and personalities that have characterized the history of the United States of America.
I am very pleased to see the historical representations of this artist. In fact, I am not only passionate about art, I always had, since I was a schoolboy, a great interest for the history. Therefore, I feel must to thank Suzay, which shows a lot of attention, not only for pure decorative painting, but also for the important cultural and descriptive function that it performs. Thanks, Suzay!
